End of Project Updates

Over the past week, classes of students from all across the world have been sharing their final #GoalsProject projects showing how they are working to make change for the planet and its people through actions for the Global Goals!

Students have composed and performed songs, created school-wide and community-wide campaigns, developed and programmed online games, and researched and reported. We have seen stop-motion videos, neighborhood clean-ups, beach clean-ups, bake sales, and clothing and food drives; students have shared PSAs, skits, art projects, inventions, and experiments. They have conducted interviews, written letters, marched in streets, and raised their voices. These students speak of diversity, equality, climate change, and clean energy. They are working for change, and with smiles and laughter and passion and grit, they are teaching the world through action and shared humanity.

Though our #GoalsProject is coming to an end, the work in supporting students to engage through curiosity, resolve, and ACTION is just beginning.

This final update is an invitation to continue the work you have started and to make this whole year a YEAR OF TAKING ACTION!

1. Share your project and solutions

Add your class projects to the Padlet board. Projects will be accepted through the end of April 2022.

2. Plan an activity to “welcome” each Goal to the classroom
“The journey of 1,000 miles starts with one single step.” --Lao Tzu. We thank you and your students for taking that one single step in joining the #GoalsProject. For us, this is just the beginning, and we invite you to continue the “journey of 1,000 miles” with us.

  • Review the other projects from your own group/Goal.
  • Learn from other students--young and older, near and far--about the other Global Goals and ways you can take action.
  • Connect with another Goals Project classroom for a conversation, collaboration, or class-to-class celebration of learning.
3. Reflect and offer thanks
  • Invite students to send a message of appreciation to your group facilitator, to a classroom who inspired you, to one of the project translators or interns, and/or to Ayush and Ananya. Listen in on Ananya's final message here with messages of thanks from some of our group facilitators.

4. Educator survey and certificates
Please complete this final survey. Following completion, you can access this Certificate of Participation. Please feel free to make a copy and edit as needed for you, your co-teachers, and your students.
5. Celebrate and share!
  • We’ve loved hearing about the news stories, blog posts, professional sharing in conferences and seminars, and updates on impact from so many classes. Have an update to share? Please send a message for updates, questions, or ideas HERE.
  • As we finish up, we invite you to continue to share your class creations, your new learning, and the impact at local and global levels on social media with #GoalsProject hashtag. Let’s trend the positive this week and show the world the power of educators:
